Font licensing
Rights that Fit Every Project You Make.
Pick the licenses that match how the type will actually be used, then choose a usage tier on the font page. Regular licenses add together. Corporate and Exclusive stand in for that mix when the scope is company-wide or a buyout.
Files after checkout
Eligible font files are ready to download once the order is complete.
Protected checkout
You only pay for the licenses and tiers you add to the order.
Lasting rights
Coverage does not expire, as long as you stay inside the licensed scope.

Always off-limits
Keep the Files Inside the License You Bought.
These rules apply across the catalog. Each license can add its own limits. If anything conflicts, the EULA wins.
Do not share the files
Font files stay with the licensed seats. Hosting, forwarding, or posting the files for others to download is not allowed.
Do not sublicense
You cannot pass the font software to a client as if it were theirs. They need their own license for the finished use they own.
Embedding needs its own license
Live website type, apps, games, and server output are not covered by Desktop alone. Add the license that matches that output.
Stay inside the tier
Computers, pageviews, impressions, units, and similar caps come from the tier you buy. Step up that same license if you outgrow it.
Buy every use you actually make
A site plus an app needs Webfont and App & Game. Extra volume on one license does not unlock a different kind of use.
Client work still needs coverage
The designer uses Desktop to create. The client still needs licenses for the website, logo, products, or other finished use.
Do not resell a modified font
You may not recut or redistribute the typeface as a competing font. Ask us if you need a custom or Corporate agreement.

Straight Answers for Common License Questions.
If you are unsure which license to stack, start here. The EULA and the live tier on the product page still decide the actual rights.
Yes. Select every finished use — Desktop, Webfont, Digital Ads, Logo, Merchandise, and so on. Those regular licenses add together. Corporate and Exclusive replace that mix for the scope they cover.
Yes. Install Desktop to design. The client or business that owns the finished website, app, logo, packaging, or campaign still needs the matching licenses. Do not send font files to anyone who is not licensed.
As soon as the type is part of a logo, wordmark, or registered mark. Desktop covers other artwork; it does not cover a brand mark. Pick a Logo tier that matches the end client’s yearly revenue.
If you design still artwork and also set the type as live website text, yes. Desktop is for local creation. Webfont is for embedding on the site, limited by the traffic tier you choose.
Desktop covers making the artwork. If that artwork ships on physical packaging or products that are produced or sold, add Merchandise and pick a unit tier for the total quantity.
Yes. You receive the styles and formats listed on that font’s product page. Licenses change how you may use those files; they do not add or remove styles.
No. File sharing is not allowed. Coverage follows the license and tier — Desktop seats, Webfont pageviews, Corporate revenue, and so on. Upgrade if the use grows.
Yes, once you buy the licenses that match the commercial use and a tier that is large enough. A website, app, logo, product, and paid ad can each need their own license.
Corporate covers company-wide use without piecing regular licenses together. It suits larger teams, several brands, and broader rollout. Exclusive is a full buyout of the typeface.
Tiers set volume — computers, traffic, impressions, revenue, and similar caps. Choose the bracket that fits the planned use, then upgrade that same license later. A higher tier does not add a new kind of use.
We do not send free font files to try. Judge a typeface with live previews on each product page, or in Start Creation. Sign-in is optional. Viewing those canvases is not a license and must not be used for client, brand, or paid work.
The EULA on our Terms page is the contract. This page is a plain-language guide. Write to us if you need a Corporate or custom agreement.
